About the Virtual Tasting
Joyce and Stephen Rigby, the wife (vineyard manager) and husband (winemaker) team at Boxwood Winery in Middleburg Virginia will join John Sporing, the founder of A Life Well Drunk for a virtual tasting on May 28th, 2020.
As part of this tasting, we will be tasting the inaugural vintage of Sauvignon Gris.
On May 28th at 6 PM we will sip and discuss three wines:
- 2019 Boxwood Sauvignon Gris
- 2019 Boxwood Sauvignon Blanc
- 2019 Boxwood Rosé
A special three pack of these wines has been created for this tasting. The three-pack contains the rosé and sauvignon blanc in 375ml (half) bottles (perfect size for tasting) and a 750ml (full) bottle of the sauvignon gris. Of course, you can upgrade all to full bottles. Order the three pack ordered directly from the winery with free shipping by using this link: https://boxwoodwinery.com/
Please order as soon as you can to ensure that the wines arrive in time to rest (and chill). Note, A Life Well Drunk does not receive payment for these virtual tastings. We are doing these to help our winery partners during these challenging times.

Boxwood Estates Winery
Boxwood Estate Winery is the fulfillment of a long-held dream by proprietor John Kent Cooke, former owner, and president of the NFL Washington Redskins. An admirer and collector of French wines, particularly great Bordeaux, Cooke and his team at Boxwood are committed to making premium red & white wines in the Bordeaux tradition, but with their own, distinct Virginia expression.
Boxwood Winery is in an area steeped in Revolutionary and Civil War history, and renowned for world-famous horse farms. Today the area is also known as a wine region (Middleburg AVA), with Virginia being the fifth largest wine producing state. The Boxwood sustainable vineyards occupy 26.5 acres of the historic landmark farm, and are planted with traditional Bordeaux varietals, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc & Sauvignon Blanc, all ENTAV certified.
