Bespoke luxury wine experiences around the globe & exclusive tasting and pouring events

September 2020 is California Wine Month

This gives us a great opportunity
to highlight some of the many
incredible wineries we’ve visited
over the years.

We look forward to visiting these
wineries again very soon.

Amapola Creek Vineyards and Winery is located in the Moon Mountain District AVA of Sonoma Valley.

We started visiting Amapola Creek once we had heard that Richard Arrowood, the founder and wine maker for Arrowood Winery left. Richard and his wife Alis started Amapola Creek in 2005 along the sun-washed western slope of the Mayacamas Mountains adjacent to the highly-acclaimed Monte Rosso Vineyard. These red, iron-oxide soils have yielded superb wines for well over a century. They have planted approximately 20 acres of organically certified estate vines to continue in that tradition.

Only a couple of minutes away is a great stop for lunch in Aqua Calientes called El Molino Central.

Richard Arrowood is an iconic winemaster who has been making wine exclusively in Sonoma County for more than for 50+ years. From 1974 through 1990, he created the wines for Chateau St. Jean, where he developed some of the first vineyard-designate Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Sonoma County.
